320 Days of Sunshine · Season-by-Season Guide · Honest & Practical
The Honest Answer
Málaga has 320 days of sunshine per year and is genuinely pleasant in every month. But “any time is good” is not the same as “all times are equally good.” There are significant differences in temperature, crowds, prices and what each season is best for.
The honest answer is that spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) offer the best overall experience for most visitors. Perfect temperatures, manageable crowds, excellent prices and the full range of activities available. Summer is for beach holidays, hot, busy, expensive and wonderful if that's what you want. Winter is for culture, city breaks and tranquillity at very low prices.

The beaches are quiet but not swimming weather. It’s an excellent choice for culture, city breaks and golf. Several of our villas are in high demand for Christmas and New Year even in ‘off-season’.
Yes. October sea temperatures are around 23°C, which is warm enough for comfortable swimming. Many guests find October the best month for a beach holiday, the sea retains summer warmth, the crowds have gone and the weather is usually excellent with long sunny days.
