Arriving Smoothly in Málaga

Málaga Airport is well-organised and straightforward to navigate. Arrivals exit into a modern terminal with taxis, car hire counters, the Cercanías train and ride-hailing pick-up all within 10 minutes of landing. For most villa guests, a private transfer or taxi is the most comfortable option.

We arrange private airport transfers for all our villa guests, it's the most stress-free option and ensures someone is waiting for you regardless of how delayed or tired you are. For those travelling independently, the licensed taxi rank is reliable and prices are fixed by zone.

FAQ

Airport Transfers: FAQ

Does Holidays Malaga arrange airport transfers?

Yes, we arrange private airport transfers for all our villa guests as part of our concierge service. Your driver meets you at arrivals with a name board, helps with luggage and drives you directly to your villa. We use professional, licensed operators with modern vehicles. Child seats are available on request.

How much does a taxi from Málaga Airport to Marbella cost?

Licensed taxis from Málaga Airport to Marbella run approximately €55–65. This is a fixed zone rate, the meter should show a fair price. For groups of 4–8 people, a private transfer is often similar in price to two taxis but with a larger vehicle and a pre-arranged meet-and-greet service.

Is the Cercanías train from the airport reliable?

Yes, the C1 train is modern, punctual and runs every 20 minutes throughout the day (less frequently late at night). It is an excellent option for guests staying in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola or Málaga city. For any destination further west than Fuengirola or east of Málaga, a road-based transfer is needed.

What if my flight arrives very late at night?

Private transfers and licensed taxis operate 24 hours at Málaga Airport, there is never a problem with late arrivals. Uber and Cabify also operate around the clock. The Cercanías train runs until approximately midnight (check schedules for your specific date). We always recommend pre-arranging a private transfer for late flights.
